If you rely on the Canton Repository for news coverage, chances are you may have missed something. If you do a search for the word "protest" on the Canton Repository's website for articles in the last 2 weeks, you will find 3 days of articles on the anti-war protest in Washington, you will also find an article about a protest on tortilla prices in Mexico City. But you will not find any reference to this:
To find out about this you can go to [urlhttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/22/AR2007012200559.html][/url] It was a prostest of the 34th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Tens of thousands showed up to protest. But apparently tortilla protesters are more interesting. |

I always knew the Repository had a bias, but I was not sure how many Stark Countians realized it or even cared. |

Haven't you ever wondered why we don't even get the Mr. Thrifty? The Rep has monopolized the newspaper industry in Canton. I used to live in Green, and we got the ABJ, Mr. Thrifty, the Green Leader, and something else I think too. I wanted to advertise in a less expensive, community paper, but we don't have them. I tried to place a 2-3 line, name, number, location ad, and they wanted more than 20 dollars for 1 day. I don't think so. In Cleveland they have Scene, I know Akron has something else too. The Rep thinks they're Gods here.Passion Consultant: www.cantonpassion.com |

It was the Suburbanite - that was the other one. I think one of them recently went out of print though.Passion Consultant: www.cantonpassion.com |

I smell the fear. These so called publications pander to the powers that be, and are afraid to publish citizen opinions let alone there own. They know somethings brewing in the pot and they are afraid of the old police sanctioned shut down.Looking for work. |
