Im interested in knowing if anyone has had any experiences there. Im a big paranormal junkie and any stories or facts you could relay about molly stark hospital would be great. |

have heard it housed TB patients but my grandmother was there in the 1930's and she didn't have TB. Although its said she was a nut case and i've heard it was also used for the nut cases |

I have two angels that were apparently on the ceiling at Molly Stark Hospital when it was built. They have been refurbished beautifully and hang in my living room. Although beautiful, I can just imagine the stories that they must have. They are 4 feet by 4 feet and are plastered into my walls. They are a conversation piece!! I have heard that Molly Stark was a TB ward in the 30's, a mental institution, and was going to be used after 9/11 if we would have been attacked with biological war, the government would have used the institution to house people. |

I have friends that have recently been in molly stark. They saw some veryyy interesting things. They found a room with an electric shock machine, rooms that were completely isolated no windows or anything except for one chair in the middle with restraints, or a cot with straps. I know the hospital was for the mentally unstable, and they used pioneer experiments for those people. Although they may have thought they were helping, a lot of torture was done there, so i'm sure there are unsettled spirits. I've known a lot of people that have been in there and every one of them has felt cold hands on them, have seen doors slammed, and a few have even said they have seen things. It is a scary place, and I would NEVER go in there! People shouldn't mess with things of this magnitude, if you believe or not. |

I worked at Molly Stark for about 4 years. IT was first a TB hospital, then after there were no more TB, they turned it into a Critical Care, Alcholic Inpatient, Drug Addiction inpatient, and a home for the Mentally Handicapped. There were no Ghosts !! People like to make up storied, and the ones that talk about the 'nut cases' are usually the Nut Cases !!!!! The tunnels were used for the doctors and nurses that stayed there during the TB times.. they could go back and forth to the little houses out front where they stayed. Molly Stark was/is a beautiful old building.. that has helped many, many people in the years it was a hospital... too bad they let it go.

I have heard a lot of stories about Molly Stark Hospital. Everything from it being haunted to people seeing ghosts. My mom used to work there before the place closed down. The tunnels are real. They led to the houses out in front where the doctor's lived. I also know a few kids that broke into the place. Said it was the scariest thing they have ever done. It was cold, rundown, and overall very interesting. They felt spirits there with them. They even saw white orbs when they took pictures. (white spots everywhere)meaning there are ghosts. I believe all of this. Just like any hospital it has spirits. I would love to go through it someday if anyone knows anything more about it please post something! |

How did you get these angels? Were they auctioned off or what? |

There were no ghosts at Molly Stark !! The ones that tell this gossip were probably never there. It is just a big old imposing building...nothing more. I worked there for quite awhile, and I worked the night shift...... NO GHOSTS were ever reported !!!!!!!! shirley |

I am not certain; they were in the house when we purchased it. If you are interested in them, let me know; we are getting ready to remodel and may take them down. |

This caught my attention because I worked there about 10 years ago. It was closed as being a hospital but we worked there to film records. Yes I believe it is haunted. The elevators used to go up and down and no one would be around. If you walked around on the 3rd floor you would walk through very icy cold air. We went through the tunnels. Nothing scary there. It was just used for the nurses and doctors. Never saw and equipment it was all gone. Molly Stark was a TB hospital. That is why it was built but then TB was getting to be unheard of and they explanded. Read some intersting files out there. It was an experience. It is such a shame they let it go. The entrance with all of the marble was beautiful. Hope this helped. |

I did not even know the Molly Stark Hospital existed until this afternoon when my husband happened to take us for a drive. Now I must admit I am intrigued. I've been searching the internet with little success. Does anyone know of a website, book etc where I can find information on the Molly Stark Hospital (not the actual person)? Any help would be much appreciated. |

My mom worked there for 5 years after it closed, working for the Stark County records office. I've personally been in the building myself a few times. Very scary. Lots of noises and cold spots. The elevator would go up and down by itself, it would stick on just about anyone who got in it... the 3rd floor was the worst... large empty rooms and I remember a strap-down table for patients. Also, my mother took pictures and there was smoke coming out of the windows. She always claimed she felt someone poking/tapping her shoulder. I believe it's haunted... those of you who don't, it's because you just didn't experience anything first hand, you're in denial, or you live on logics. Goodday! :) |

My mother worked there for a long time as a nurse. My brother and I would often visit her at work . i personally have no ghost stories to tell but i know my mother has lots of intriging stories I have yet to hear. I mainly have memories of helping with the kids christmas parties. I am concerned though...do you realize you are committing a crime when you are breaking into Molly ?? I hope this activity is not causing further damage to the once beautiful building. I can only hope that maybe one day she will be restored to her former beauty. |

Those angels are part of a replication of Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel and hung over the main entrance way of Molly Stark. The Artist who rendered that Mural was my Great- Grandfather Charles Nelson Greene who dies in 1935 from stomach Cancer. He made a respectable living here in Canton supporting 7 children painting houses and Murals commissioned by Molly Stark. He also painted the Disney Character's and animal Murals in the children's ward.I would love to see my Grandpa's Angels if your are ever interested in showing them. Does anyone else remember the children's ward murals or know if they still decorate the walls? Thank you. quote:
