What is with every official in Stark County!?!?!? I ran across the case of the three teen girls stripped searched as part of a 'tour' of a facility. And then given dirty prison garb to wear. Court Administrator Richard DeHeer (330-451-7415) says that its part of their 'protocol' and that the staff did nothing wrong. Maybe Richard should read the Bill of Rights, right around the 4th amendment. The girls & their parents had ALREADY gone through metal detectors & a pat down. There was NO warrant to search these girls. There was NO probable cause to search these girls. The ONLY reason to strip search these girls was to embarrass, degrade, and punish them. This is AGAINST THE LAW! This is what these perverts in Stark County don't get. Their whole stinking system is ILLEGAL! And that they are criminals and should be put in prison themselves. What is happening to our country when actions like this can even be TRIED to be argued as appropriate? This is unbelievable! |

Oh while searching through stuff I ran across this. This is actually on the sheriff's own web page and the head jailer is actually admitting that NO weapons have been found on anyone for YEARS! Which seems to back up my opinion that strip searches are unnecessary, since we now have metal detectors and can do a pat down. ================================ JAIL EFFECTIVENESS INDICATORS Number of searches or incidents where weapons, drugs or illegal items were discovered. Searches are done on a random daily basis throughout the jail and no weapons have been located for many years, however on occasion drugs have been found as well as other contraband upon the initial entry of some prisoners. http://www.sheriff.co.stark.oh.us/jail-facts.htm#health |

Weird!! http://www.wickedlocal.com/ghs-newsservice/regional_news/midwest/ohio/news/x1846588869 Court Administrator Richard DeHeer that the Attention Center Staff acted within their protocol. This news story CLEARLY states DeHeer's opinion that the staff at the Attention Center was not doing anything wrong. But after a phone call to contact DeHeer, and ask if strip searches are still a practice there. He is NOW saying that there is NO protocol to strip search kids on a tour, and that there has NEVER been a protocol for that! He couldn't say much more, because the suit still isn't settled. I have no idea whats up with this, just saying what I read and what I was told. Only thing I can think is that they have gotten a lot of heat over this the last couple years. |

The CantonRep says that this case has been settled??? http://www.cantonrep.com/index.php?ID=435175As far as I'm concerned this case isn't over until that tape is recovered. What do they have, some pedophile, collecting tapes of kids being stripped? HOW can you settle for damages, when you DON’T know what ALL the damages will be!?!? The probate judge should NOT settle this case until they see ALL the damages that these girls may suffer with that video still being missing. If it ends up on the internet, $100K would NOT cover the damages, if it was MY daughter!!! (Would it for YOURS?) And the girls have to live, knowing that the video could surface at ANY time? Also the staff should have charges pressed against them. They should have known that what they were doing was illegal. And according to Richard DeHeer (330-451-7415), it WAS illegal. What is that they tell us "Ignorance of the law is no excuse". This is complete BS. Office of the Attorney General (614) 466-4320 Stark County Prosecutor John D. Ferrero Telephone: (330) 451-7897

UPDATE The Stark County sheriff Swanson has investigated this case and turned over their "evidence" to the County prosecutor. NO CHARGES were filed against anyone, even though they state that there was NO policy on strip searching kids on tour, nor had there EVER been a policy like that. So they paid out $300,000 of taxpayer money, but no one did anything wrong??!?!? AMAZING!! |
